Robinson
is a growing suburban community located on the southeastern edge of the
City of Waco, the anchor city of the Waco/McLennan County Metropolitan
Statistical Area (MSA). New home starts are averaging over seventy
per year with ten to twelve million dollars worth of single family
housing stock added to the tax base each year.
Besides serving as
a bedroom city for the adjacent big city, a number of businesses and
light manufacturing concerns are based locally. For example, Blue
Bell Creameries, Inc. serves a 21 county area from their Robinson
distribution center; Puremco, a domino manufacturer, is headquartered in
Robinson with its plant and showroom located on Loop 340; and Johnson
Roofing serves its far-flung industrial, commercial and residential
clients from its home base off U.S. 77 in Robinson. Two new
industrial parks have opened on Interstate 35 in west Robinson. |
